Black Jack is a 7 year old Registered Friesian Sport horse gelding with an outstanding pedigree. He is 75% Friesian and 25% Standardbred. His sire is Black Hawk and his Dam is Bonnie Bell. He is a 16 hand, shiny, jet black, super broke teddy bear. Black Jack has calmness and composure when ridden through town, in parades or driven on roads. Whomever sees him will turn their heads admiring his beauty and grace. He can be ridden by any age and any level rider and his natural uphill build is an asset to both Western and English riding. He loves to be groomed, stands for the farrier, loads in the trailer and backs out of it with no hesitation.
He is a master in our trail course where he walks over obstacles (logs, teeter totters, swinging bridges, tarps, etc), maneuvers through beach noodles and pushes balls. On our ranch he is used to seeing our cows and all kinds of wildlife like elk, deer, bear and turkeys. He has excellent ground manners around dogs, children and other horses. Nothing seems to phase or spook him. He is sure footed on all terrain in the mountains and the desert. You can ride him in a group in front or behind on the trial or out by himself.
Black Jack gives you his heart and tries everything that is asked of him. He will stand ground tied for grooming/saddling/harnessing, be driven on a spontaneous holiday ride, be the star at any show or competition and take you on a relaxing trail ride. He can be a versatile family horse or an individual’s heart horse in their favorite discipline. There is no doubt he will rise to the occasion. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has style and flash with a solid quiet foundation. Most importantly, Black Jack is safe. I can’t say enough nice things about this guy.
